Academic Excellence

Dr. Gianluigi De Geronimo completed his Ph.D. in Electronics at the esteemed Milan Polytechnic in 1997, laying the groundwork for a career marked by significant achievements and contributions to the field of electronics.

Professional Milestones

Dr. De Geronimo’s professional journey witnessed a significant leap when he joined Brookhaven National Laboratory. There, he specialized in low-noise electronics for radiation detectors, eventually becoming a Tenured Scientist and the Head of Microelectronics. In October 2016, with a wealth of experience and accomplishments under his belt, Dr. De Geronimo ventured into the realm of independent ASIC design.

Innovations and Achievements

Throughout his career, Dr. De Geronimo has been instrumental in developing advanced low-noise, low-power, mixed-signal front-end ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits). These circuits, known for their innovative configurations and record-setting performances, are utilized across a wide array of fields, including defense, industrial, medical, physics, safety, security, and even space applications.

Current Engagements

Dr. De Geronimo currently excels in multiple roles: as an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University and the University of Michigan, as well as serving as an independent ASIC Designer and Consultant. His passion for low-noise and low-power front-end ASICs for sensors continues to drive his professional interests and contributions to the field.
